Hi, I'm in the process of getting Sky. Anyway, I don't want to get sky multiroom, because it involves drilling and I don't want to do it in that room. Anyway, I am looking for a way to watch sky in alternative rooms with out cables. Are there any alternatives to transmitting sky from one room to another wirelessly, without compromising picture quality or sound. I don't mind about there being the same channel in the same room. Could anyone help me with this. I would very much appreciate this.

    Thanking you in advance.

You can get wireless av transmitters, but in my opinion there are very hit and miss, and can [pick up interferance from a wide variety of things.

Best way is to wire a cable from the back of your box to the room required and use of a magic eye.

An RF cable will not provide stereo sound. A wireless videosender will. It's definitely worth a try if you can buy it from a shop that accepts returns (e.g. Argos).

As Steve stated, it can be hit or miss. The positioning of the units is often critical to get a good signal (it's very weak and easily blocked by stone walls). But if it does work reliably, you'll be happy with the picture and sound. :)

No-if you run a separate cable from the box all you can watch is the same thing that is shown on the main tv that box is connected to.Connect a second box to the dish for separate channels in another room.A multiroom subscription from Sky is 15 euro a month and you MUST have a phone line connected to the box.Maybe a FTA box would be fine for you if it's just the likes of BBC,ITV etc. you want to watch on 2nd tv.
