    how long before my nct is up can i get it tested??
    my car is due in may, but id like to get the nct now so i can sell it, how soon can i get it done??

    If it's the car's first NCT then it can be done 6 months prior to it's due date, all subsequent NCTs can be done 3 months before their due date.

    To be precise it's 180 days for 1st NCT, and 90 for subsequent.
