Couple with 1 kid, €605 per month.
    Citizenadvice.ie

Lots of rules, like must be already renting 6 months.

As far as i know its you have to pay 23 euro a week but check out www.welfare.ie it will be all on there. Dont quote me on that thats just what a friend is getting renting a room in a house.

My rent is 650 per month and I receive 273 per month rent allowance. Only started in February. I find this a struggle as I'm a lone parent receiving 225 per week for me and my daughter. Everyone keeps telling me i should be entitled to more . Im not sure just glad to be getting any assistance but I'm just wondering about other people in same situation.

You hear rumours of people getting houses for 20 or 30 euro a week surely this would be cheaper than 600 for rent allowance

Ring citizen advice, all info is online, its also €605 for single parent, but there is lots of terms + conditions.

Its means tested, so if you have savings you get less, you have to put your name on housing list.

    You could move somewhere cheaper.

    Its all on citizenadvice.ie.
Unemployed or homeless person with 1 kid gets €605 MAX, single person in shared €255 single person apt €455 from social welfare to landlord + pays €24 themselves. Lots of terms + conditions.

Just go to limerick city council + put yourself on housing list. No idea how long it takes to get council house, i would guess years. And who knows where you end up living.
