internet sharing to my htc desire

is there an easy way to share the internet conection from my laptop to my HTC desire (e.g. via the usb connection). i'm out of the country for a few weeks and the only internet i have is a cheapo usb 3g modem i bought over here.

Connectify sets your laptop up as a Wifi hotspot, I've had mixed results with it, but you might get on better with it.
