Unhappy with results?

Is anyone getting their results rechecked?

I got 7 bs and 3 cs. Most people would say thats great but I'm my own toughest critic. I got a B in home ec and I'm not happy.

I got 94% in my pres and I feel I did better in the junior cert so should I get it rechecked?

I went to my home ec teacher afterwards and she was so suprised I didn't get an A. She said I should get it rechecked.

I feel the same about Geography.

    What to do?:(

If it makes you happy do, but otherwise don't bother. The Junior Cert counts for absolutely zip once you get into fourth/fifth year.

Along with 23% of candidates who sat CSPE - nothing wrong with a C at all.

Your unhappy now, soon you will realise what a joke the junior cert is. Take it on the chin, it means nothing. I'm not saying this as a disgruntled student or anything, I'm still in academia doing a PhD but you realise how unimportant it is after a while. Worry about the leaving cert and try do your best and that does have a bearing on your future in most cases but until then, chill out and move on.

I did my Junior Cert too. I was happy with what I got but when I heard what some people got I wish I'd studied harder :(.. I got a C in science which I am fairly unhappy about. I thought of getting it rechecked. Ya it might bring me up a grade but the JC is uselss. If you are that unhappy get it rechecked.

    Not necessarily true.

My Inter Cert results were v important to me getting shortlisted for interview for my first job (trainee actuary), as the recruitment process started before the Leaving Cert. Obviously no final decision was made until LC results but I only had to make certain LC grades (A maths, B English, honour Applied Maths) whereas my overall JC/Inter results needed to be great to get passed the first screening process.

I agree the JC generally doesn't matter... but sometimes it can.

Extremely disappointed with my B in English, but I'm not paying to recheck a result that has no effect on my life whatsoever.

It's not worth the 40 euro - trust me and anyone who's done the junior - it really is pointless - it's done and you got a B so move on..

Trust me this time next year you'll not give a ****e what you got - and this time 2 years you'll realise what a waste of time it was....

The junior cert will get you nowhere in life so don't waste anymore time worrying about it....

but if you really want to go ahead with it do - but I wouldn't bother if I was you

I got a B in Home Ec too and I was really disappointed. I've only ever got A's in Home Ec. I thought the written exam went perfect, my craft project was of really high quality and the practical went well.

My Home Ec teacher was surprised too. I dunno how I got that mark.

It is annoying though I know how you feel. You should get it re-checked if you really feel that strongly about it. I dunno whether to get mine re-checked or not.
