Got chatting to a fella that's supplied some scaffolding at work today.

He was asking why I was only turning up at 12 o'clock and when I explained I'd been stalking down in Wicklow he got very interested.

Turns out his brother has bought over 1,000 acres of hill and forestry which is full of deer, one phonecall later and I now have permission to go shoot what I want when I like ( season dependant of course ) :D

Not bad for a casual chat :)

Well went for a walk this morning. In the mist and rain saw load of does, saw few bucks but none on my ground.

God I hate wearing glasses in weather like that, spent all morning cleaning the mist off them !! Think I'm gonna have to fight with the contacts again

Nice bit of ground with lots of open field and clearfell aswell with nice roads through it all :)

it's a right pain in the a$$ wearing glasses, would almost consider the laser surgery route !! Normal sighted people dont know how easy they have it, no mist or rain covering there lenses, heafrom your chest fogging them up, constantly trying find piece of dry clothing to wipe them off  Tried contacts but took me half hour at times to get them in, which means getting up at 4am not half past :)

Yeah new bit of ground looks promising all right, just might give it a go on a clear day next ;)

Me neither, the only person I know had it done is back wearing spectaculars again. Technology is too new for me and I wouldn't particularly like anyone messing with my eyes in the first place.

Yeah well not rushing into surgery, still on the fence, know good few who have had it done, all worked ok !!

Just have to fight with the contacts again !!
