LG 42 Plasma suddenly dark and blotchy

I bought an LG plasma about 4 years ago and have clocked about 9500 hours of use (Checked in the factory menu). Yesterday, the screen suddenly went dark and dark blotchy spots of pure black appeared all over the screen. The OSD is slow and glitchy and it appears that the entire panel is black and blotchy.

I've attached a photo of what it looks like when switched on. Black holes and lines all throughout the panel.

I'm guessing that the panel is no longer charging the pixels? Is this even repairable?
