If clover not an issue then a straight spray with a broad spectrum herbicide ie mcpa or cmpp at about 6euro an acre, will kill them and every other weed also. Best results i got was post emergence after silage cut and then treat individually when bringing in the cows with knapsac sprayer with Bandock. Same on grazing paddocks. With clover then you are restricted on sprays. Something like legumex or underclear(both 2,4 DB) at 1 leaf clover stage Our advisor says spray for docks(CMPP) then with round up on reseeds and spray early for weeds on the reseed and go in with knapsack for ones missed. Also keep an eye on potassium levels. Index of 4 Will lead to very high levels of dock growth. See james humphries in teagasc work on this.

Was it legumex you used and got good results with as post emergence spray in the silage aftergrass?

That's very interesting about the pottassium levels being linked to dock growth. As for index, I'm assuming index4 is high? (is it around 2 that is recommended?)

3 is optimum for grass growth but if i remember right index 4 will lead to preferential uptake by docks leading to higher growth levels of docks and shading out of pasture. If you going ploughing James normally there one day anyway. Good dude:p
