Yeah, I hate when every event in Fresher's Week isn't exactly to my taste. Shame on you SU, shame on you.

Haha I know that :p They're a terrible DJ act though:

They just seem to be air humping the decks here, and I don't see how it takes four DJ's to mix two tracks
Was hoping for some better DJ acts this year, we're off to a bad start but fingers crossed there'll be a few better acts ;)

They can't please everyone with every act sure, it's impossible. Anyways I'd say the fourplay DJ's will still be good craic to be at, it all will be!

Em, this may seem like a very naive question, but what's the story with Lectures during that week? Are they called off, does anyone turn up for them, or does everyone just go to the freshers stuff?

Lectures are on as normal, some people go, some people don't.

It's a big room in the SU (it has a bar).

can you bring guests to the SU bar? That is, people who are not students. I think I've read something about that before but I can't remember.

You can, you need to bring your own student card and then sign them in at the front door with the bouncers. If there's no bouncers on then you can just walk straight on in with them. It's usually 1 guest per student but if you have more than 1 friend coming along you can just ask a random student at the door to sign them in.

    Just a few questions:
    1. What exactly is the 'fair' on the monday?
2.what is the freshers ball? is it like a debs-type thing? formal dress? or is there a theme or something?
3.Also, if you havent got your student card yet, can u still get in to all these things?

    1. It's a fun-fair. Carny style.
    2. Not formal, just a massive party with added craic.
    3. Yes, but bring photo-id and some proof you're a Maynooth student

Not fully sure but at other events they've given out a certain wristband to underagers that signifies they can't be served and all that jazz. Don't know what they'll do this time though
