HSA Safety Inspector visit

A cousin of mine recently had an unannounced site inspection of her self build by a HSA Inspector. He deemed the scaffolding to be unsafe and issued a prohibition notice. She went about hiring a qualified scaffolder who errected the scaffolding as he saw fit. He knew the situation she was dealing with. The inspector came back and still had a problem with the scaffolding even though the scaffolder said that it was safe. He said that he wanted it errected again in accordance with the rules. Any advice for her?

Yes, dont pay for the scaffolding until such time as it has been given the nod by the HSA inspector.

Thanks, she paid for the work the last time before it had been inspected. Good advice!
