    hi all :)

i have just been diagnosed with lofgren's syndrome. i know that it is not as serious as regular sarcoidosis, and have read up on what little information there is online.

i would love to hear from somebody who has had this illness themselves, as there is not a lot of info out there, and my doctor isn't exactlly full of chat.

    tia,

    aluna.

I was diagnosed just recently with Lofgrens syndrome....I had been very tired a few months prior to getting very swollen ankles and painful lesions on both feet. I went to PCP who put me on lasix and told me i was eating too much salt and to check back with him....I ended up going to the ER....They ruled out blood clots in my legs and took all kinds of labwork.....I changed PCPS, due to a chg in my insurance and ran into a fantastic young doctor who referred me to a rheumatologist. She said my lesions on feet were eyrthema nodosm and sent me for a chest xray which showed hilar adenopathy (swollen lymph nodes in lungs). I have no lung symtoms and have been on prednisone now for about 3 days with huge success...My ankles are no longer swollen and I can finally walk pain free
Im told that this could be just a one time thing and I have my fingers crossed that it will!

    Good luck to you!
