Hi This mornign I have had a number of calls to say that my gmail account has sent out spam mail to people in my address book and since then I have recieved a huge amount of return mail (out of office replies) with the same subject line "Hello". How do I sort this out to stop any further embarrassment? Thanks

Set up a label and filter and multiple inboxes (it's in labs) to put them all into one area, alternatively you can set your filter to delete them as they come but I wouldn't recommend it as it would delete ANYTHING from those emails.

With the multiple inboxes + labels/filters you can just move all the spam to one small part of your inbox and then mass-delete them when the storm is over.
