Trouble with Amazon

I ordered an item off amazon.com, they then sent me an e-mail saying that there was trouble processing my order.I then, ordered the same item off amazon.co.uk.

To my disbelief. I checked my e-mails this morning to see that both orders have been shipped. How could amazon.com ship my order if my credit card details were not accepted at the beginning. I have already banged an e-mail off to customer care. Do I have any recourse in this matter or will I just have to pay for both items?

Just log in to your amazon account when both sets have arrived and follow the returns procedure. They'll pay for the return postage and repay the cost of the book provided you pick the correct reason for returning. The procedure even provides helps you print out the return mailing lable.

They are saying I will have to pay for shipping. What happens if I refuse to sign for it when it arrives?

i ordered a £30 item recently advertised as "FREE UK SHIPPING" using the 1 cick order system (to my friends house in belfast )

got a "item dispatched" email the next day

check the account and the seller had billed me £44.99

it was cheap at £29.99 but not at £44.99 so i refused to sign for it and told the postman to return it to sender

amazon refused to refund and told me that shipping prices were not its concern when dealing with third party sellers ,the seller ignored every single email i sent him

i finanlly got a refund by doing a credit card charge back but amazon had no interest in my case whatsoever
