I have an iPhone 4 with o2. Myself and a few others have noticed that every night at midnight there is 49.5mb showing on the bill aswell as other usage. O2 don't know what it is. Is it happening on other networks aswell

It's 48kb for me (I'm with O2).

I'd always assumed it was the total data used by the persistent push connection for that day.

A mod just replied to the thread on o2. They explained what the 48kb was a while ago, can't remember what it was but the 49.5 is if ya used upto and over that amount. Anything extra is shown then aswell

I noticed it on my Nokia 5800 as well before i got my 3GS. O2 could never explain why it was there but still charged me for it. So I had to get a bundle to cover the data.

Looks like a little money maker for O2

It's the way billing works. The first 48kb is listed as one item then the next 49.5mb is listed as the second and anything over is listed as the third
