So I used to use Freespeech.ie years ago. Seemingly I still have a dormant account with them, as I just received this email:
    Hello,

The credit/debit card we hold on record for you will expire in 15 days. Once your card has expired you will no longer be able to make calls.

    How to update your card

    1. Log into your freespeech account.
    2. Click "Payment Information" Tab on the menu.
    3. Enter your new credit card details.
    4. Click "Apply Changes"

Note: There is a fee of 50c for updating your card.

Sorry, what's that? A 50c fee for updating my credit card so that I can pay you? Since when did Freespeech.ie become the Ryanair of VoIP? Jesus, Mary and the seven dwarves.

So it is "pay us 50 cent and we will let you do business with us in the future"?
    Customer gets cheesed off!

    How about this instead?
Write to consumer advising that credit card details will soon expire. Encourage customer to renew cc details by adding 50 cent to their account. Customer uses 50 cent freebie, likes the service and continues to spend more money.

Can I have the marketing job at Freespeech, please? :D

    I'm not sure you'd get it, you've just cost them €1! ;)
