The "Second Chance Scheme" & getting a grant?

Now I don't know whether anyone will know (I doubt it to be honest as it might be too "specific") but thought I'd ask anyway, just incase. So, I'm a mature student and I'm heading back to university next week. I've been at 3rd level before: WIT 1998 (only for a few weeks), University of Portsmouth 1999 (only for a couple of months), UCC 2002/2003 and again at UCC in 2004/2005 (a repeat of my first year) I never completed more than my first year. I'm in reciept of DA (Disability Allowance) so won't be going on BTEA, as I have the option to stay on DA and also apply for a grant. My income is well under the grant threshold, DA isn't taken into consideration for grant purposes.

I am entitled to a grant and to have my €1500 student registration fee paid under the Second Chance Scheme aren't I? Even though I got a full grant in 2002/2003 and the first insallments in 1998 and 1999. First installments only.

This is my very first time attending 3rd level under the Second Chance Scheme. As I understand it I am entitled to a grant. I have already applied but have been told it could be months before a decision is made. Luckily my uni will wait for the €1500 until my grant has been approved. Thanks.

would this be your fifth time to commence a college course then??...and your hoping you will be viewed as a second chance student....your as entitled as anyone to apply.......the statement that "i am entitled "is a bug bear of mine......no offense to the op....unless you get a really really big hearted deciding officer i would suggest you wont be considered as a second chance person.........
