    Hi all,

I have cat 6 cable throughout my house. I would now like to run my phone over the network cable to the patch panel and out via the eircom line. I have been running voip but would like to have a phone line.
My question is when I plug the landline phone into one of the data points - how will the phone call get out when it hits the patch panel?
Do i need to plug the now phone point panel lead into another unit in the comms room?
All the data currently goes out via the eircom adsl router.

bit confused at the minute or am I missing something simple?
