Im looking for a mobile broadband that basically works in the middle of the countryside, out past kilnaleck . Is there any way of testing before buying mobile broadband even?

You buy it, test it, and if it doesn't work, you bring it back. That's the only way to do it. You will normally have 7 or 14 days to return it, depending on the operator. There's no way to know what it will be like, or how it will go in future. You're buying an inherently unreliable product.

I live about 3 miles from Kilnaleck and the only mobile broadband that works for me (I have tested them all) is 3. I get speeds ranging from 3megs up to 6megs. Im still hoping to get broadband through my phone line but for the moment 3 is as good as I can get and to be fair it is not a bad service for me.

Having said that, there is a friend of mine who lives about a mile away (nearer Crosskeys) and he cant get mobile broadband at all.
