Just got an M4A1 CQBR and having some issues. It's not firing every time. In fact firing very rarely on both semi and auto. Anyone know of anything that I need to do? The sound from it also isn't very consistent. Sounds more powerful some times then others. Especially when the mag is out.

    So help please.
    Cheers.

First things I would do is take the barrel out of the gun and check its clean. Then i would have a look at the hop up to see if its clean. If its still not shooting I would take apart the gearbox, check the air nozzle and tappet plate and give the gearbox a clean (then do shims etc)

Bring it back to the retailer if you bought it recently, it will still be under warranty, don't go messing about with the internals.

I will agree with leftyflip on this one. But it doesnt stop you having a look at the barrel and hop up, they dont void the warranty

As Lefty said, don't touch the gearbox, if it was like that out of the box take it back to the place you bought it from and they'll sort it for you.

If the gearbox is turning over just fine and it fires intermittently, its more than likely a magazine or hop-up issue, certainly doesn't warrant opening up the gearbox.

Not trying to sound condescending or anything and I don't know if you've fired an airsoft gun before but if you've never fired an aeg before you have to wind up the mag every few shots to keep the bb's coming...

I remember my first skirmish last year I rented a gun and fired a few shots, then nothing. Thought it was broken but then the marshall kindly told us to wind the mag. :D

Thats so annoying. I recently got my first airsoft gun and every so often I pull the trigger, nothing happens, my heart jumps. Then I remember to wind the mag:o:P
