Hey just wondering if anyone knows why E85 has risen in price? last week it was 101.9 cents now it is 114.9 cents. I was shocked when i went to the pump.

That's scandalous considering the sh*t MPG you get from using it.

At those prices you would be better off using real petrol.

Yes i would be better off using petrol. My car uses 20% more on E85. I have a saab95 auto. In heavy traffic around town its 16mpg and 35mpg on motorway on E85. Its prob maxol driving up the price because they are only supplier. When in brasil this year i noticed every car runs on E85. Its about 55cent a litre which was nearly half price of what it was here while petrol was about 15cents a litre cheaper than here. but i also noticed there that there was real competition between petrol stations there unlike here. You would find maybe a 10 cent difference between 2 stations beside each other while here you be lucky to find 1 cent difference. Now thats my rant over lol

Its gone to 118 cents in Maynooth now...rip off. They must be trying to phase it out.

No the price of E5 is 133.9 and has not changed. I have been using E85 for 3 years and even when the price of oil spiked at 140$ a barrell 2 years ago the price of E85 never went over 99.9... i dont know if its a Gov tax or maxol raising the price. I will be using Unleaded from now on.
