Getting a peacoat collar to stand properly

    Hey guys,

Ok I have an old woolen peacoat style coat that I bought a few years ago. It's not a true peacoat as it's not double-breasted but how-and-ever...

Any ideas on how to get the collar to stand up like you see in the old pics of people wearing them? It seems like it stands a little and then sort of slowly dribbles down and looks a bit stupid. When the collar is down it's not half as warm and doesn't look as good (I need angles by my face to balance out mah chops!!!)

I was half thinking spray starch but don't want to ruin it if that won't work...

    Cheers

Starch would probably help. You can buy spray on stuff you use with an iron near the detergent in most supermarkets
