Is there something wrong with department email accounts?

I am a recent postgrad student of UCC and cannot access my CS email account. Is there a reason for this? Is this happening to anyone else? I'm not returning to UCC this year so could my CS account be expired or something?

cs email accounts get disabled when the person is no longer registered.
the UCC ones are for life.

My account works fine anyway, so I guess it must be disabled once you leave the department.

My CS email account seems to be working. Managed to login ok today. Might have typed in my password wrong or something or just a blip with the servers. Thanks.
