In some of the texts personal names always have "beag" after them like "Máirtín beag".

Is that some way of expressing affection or familiarity?

    Its like "Junior"

    Sean Senior / Sean Junior

As easy as that! I would have never thought of that myself.

    Thanks! :)

You will see and probably more popular 'óg' also for junior

    Seán óg - Seán jr.
