    Fashion Styling!

Hi OP, I'm a freelance wardrobe stylist and have my own company in Boston (but I'm moving to Dublin very soon!)

It's a great job to have but very very hard to find work in. Most of the work I started off in was unpaid but you have to do it in order to get decent photos for your portfolio.

If you wanna know anything, feel free to PM me :D

    Hi OP,

I'm a freelance stylist too. It's a great job but it does have it's pros and cons! You will have to be prepared to work for free for at least six months to a year to build up a portfolio, meet up with other models, photographers and make up artists to do TFPs (www.modelmayhem.com is good to find other people starting out in the industry) It's all about making contacts and building relationships with shops and fashion designers too. As the previous poster said it is hard to find work...the majority of stylists are freelance as agencies don't really hire that often. But it is a really great job, it's so exciting to see all of your hard work being published! Another area where there is more work (and money!!) is personal shopping. What course are you doing? Best of luck with it and if you have any questions feel free to message me : )
