I got a ticket from a traffic warden on francis street, literally ran into maloneys shop to get credit and by time i came out had a ticket where talkin 2/3 min max.

Been advised not to pay it, few people have told me they got 1 never payed it and never heard anything back. was wondering anyone on here not pay there ticket and what was the consequences?

    I would pay it.
Don't know if they bring all unpaid parking fines to court, but one of my friends got taken to court and fined for non-payment of a city-council parking ticket.
Waiting around wondering if a solicitor's letter / summons will arrive, is not worth the hassle.

I would also pay it, the fine if unpaid doubles then triples, then quadruples and if fine is still not paid then there is a day in court and you could probably add another few hundred to the bill and if you don't pay that expect to have a few days in one of our finest! jails.
So for €80 or whatever the fine is, it certainly isn't worth the hassle.

I would just pay it. It's not like you have a defence if you get a summons.

Your defense of running into a shop for 2-3min doesn't hold any water, better off paying it as if it goes to court your only going to waste loads of time and end up paying out alot more.

You did the crime. Do the time fine. Simple as.

    2-3 minutes, 10 minutes, 30 minutes .. no difference: there's a reason why that spot is double-yellowed.

(I'm pretty sure it's Boards policy that only law-following advice can be given here, btw)
