Resident Evil 5 Help!

This is most likely down to me being a complete pleb but...

Right so I bought the DLC pack of lost in nightmares and desperate escape, it was on sale for €6 in the playstation store, happy days!

i downloaded and installed it, when i started resident evil it asked me to update to version 2.0 and mentioned something cryptic about save games.

i updated and then made a new save game like it said, just by starting a game and quiting out of it after the first checkpoint.

I went off and played the lost in nightmares content for a while and eventually quit out of it as i had to go to work, it said it saves the content etc.

BUT when i came back to continue on from the checkpoint i only have the option to start a new game or view the leaderboards. no option to continue, i tried this a few more times and the game just wont save! the main resident evil content saves fine but the downloadable content, not a chance.

have i done something wrong here? do i just have to play through the new content in one sitting? i really have no idea and im fed up playing the first 15 minutes of the game over and over and ....

any help or advice would be very much appreciated

No saves are possible on the DLC afaik. They are only about an hour long each anyway.

Ah, ok so I'm not a total pleb then. Thank you for the info!

I guess the checkpoints were just in case you died.

its a bit s**t it doesn't save in fairness, but at least now I know thank you bucks for the help
