Hello, I've posted this as I am hoping that someone might have some advice on any fashion internships in Dublin.

I have been searching for vacancies in head offices around Dublin and so far I've had no luck. I'm hoping to start off as an administrator and eventually work my way up. If anyone had any advice or helpful tips it would be greatly appreciated.

There aren't actually many head offices in Dublin. But you should try calling HR in Penneys, Dunnes and A-wear. I can't really think of any others. Staff seem to float between those 3 as they progress through their careers.

Buyers assistants do a lot of the admin, and then there are stock managers, and merchanding/display managers so I'm not sure quite sure the job you have in mind really exists?

Most HO staff seem to come from the shop floors too, it would be difficult to get straight in.

Maybe look for shop work in any of the high street stores instead?

BTW my knowledge of the industry is a few years out of date now but I don't think things have changes that much.

Thanks for the reply. I'm going to get a business qualification and hopefully that will help me move up faster. I currently work in high street fashion retail. The shop floor is a killer. Real soul destroying stuff.

    Thanks again.
