Halfords Promotion Error

Noticed this today and followed it through.

If you browse around Halfords.ie you will find various products with a buy 1 get 1 one half price promotion. But when you add two products into the basket you are getting the lesser value one free. Works on clothing and accessories too. See attached for sample.

You can reserve & collect and print the confirmation if wanted. I used it today for two different locks without issue. :p

Now, I wonder what would happen if I brought one back???

Halfords are way overpriced for most of the stuff they sell.
BOGOF might be a little help.

Maybe this particular lock isn't worth €100 but what's the problem in spending that much if it's able to withstand enough punishment and you have something valuable enough to warrant the cost?

In fairness, I think these are the Kryptonite locks which are guarenteed to be theft proof.

Not too important for my rust bucket of a bike, but when you see the mad prices some people pay for their bike (€1000 to €3000+) you can understand why they want to try & safeguard their bike.

So.... would there be any boardsies living near the same halfords store, who both want to buy the same thing ?

    2 items, 1 order, 1/2 price

Halfrauds website is down, showing a java code error. Probably fixing this bug.

Tried several times on FF and it was showing javasript error. Seems to work on IE7.

Just got some cycling gear. The transaction must have taken half an hour as instore the buy 1 get 1/2 price was coming up and they had to press 4 million buttons on the till to get me the price I was quoted online. What a waste of time!

Another thing, the stock online and whats in store usual don't match. The two times I've reserved on Halfords.ie, the store was always missing something when I went to collect.

I have one and its great guys! My other half's bike was robbed because he did not have one like this on it! They tried rob mine too but no way they could get through it! There were a few marks on it where I could see they tried but they were just like scratches this is so strong!

Is the promotion just on bike locks alone?
