Getting through this Super 6 is torture , .....

I mean there is only 3 fights to go , it could take well over another year to complete the tourney.

My excitement for this tournament gradually disapated over the lenghty delays between bouts .... the cancellations , the injuries , the fake injuries , the greed for purse share , the new additions , the drop-outs and blunt stubborness to agree terms .

It's just not possible to have a tournement with todays boxers , it needs a deadline of 12 months in reality to keep it interesting .
Prizefighter do it in one night alone !

It has been torture for fans.

I was genuinely excited about a tournament featuring 4 of the best super-middleweights, a beast of a middleweight and retribution-seeking Jermain Taylor.

Then Taylor withdrew, not too bad.
Then he was replaced by Allan Green, still not that bad.
Then Ward/Green was delayed, getting a bit annoyed.
Then there were disputes over Ward/Dirrell, getting more annoyed.
    Then Kessler withdrew, very annoyed.

Froch/Abraham being postponed is the straw that broke the camels back.

    I haven't even mentioned Andre Ward's headbutts, Dirrell's Oscar-worthy antics or Froch's dodgy decision.

The promoters and participants deserve credit for making a tournament like this happen, but it most certainly has been a disaster.

Lucian Bute is probably looking on laughing.

With a tournament like this it was always likely interest in it would wane to due to fighters getting injured and then having to withdraw. In saying that there is still some good fights to saviour, provided none of the remaining fighters are forced to withdraw.
