The numbers after the lectures are the weeks of term.

The first term between here and Christmas is called Michaelmas.

The first week of Michaelmas started....2 weeks ago. So by the time lectures start it is week 5.

So for Maths & Stats, for example, this term you have:
A lecture on Wednesday at 12, Thursday at 11 and Friday at 10.

Same goes for next term actually. (That being week 21 on the calendar).

The reason the weeks go 5-10, 12-16 is because week 11 (Nov 8th) is "Study Week" so no lectures.

Tutorials begin the week after term starts.

And on the Mathematical note, whatever your ability, keep on top of the homeworks etc in this and Econ and save yourself an awful lot of grief next May. Maths & Stats and Econ are the ones many many people fail. Just do a bit each week and get help if you need it, don't put it off.
