Door contact/sensor issue

    I have an astec 63dv alarm and need to replace a door contact/sensor that has just 2 wires (red/black) connected to it.
    I could not find an astec sensor so i got a hkc reed/sensor instead but i'm not sure how to connect it up or if its even compatable!
    Can anyone help?

    Its not compatible, Get an Astec system sensor/contact .
    Is this a front door? If so you need to specify entry as well

    No its for a rear door!

    In that case you want an Astec system MC.
