Tallanstown in Co Louth has been awarded the title of Ireland's Tidiest Town 2010.
Tallanstown was chosen from 764 entrants to the national competition.
This is the first time the Louth village has secured the title, although it has won a number of minor awards in the competition over the years.

Ireland's tidiest small town went to Lismore, Co Waterford.
Killarney, Co Kerry, was named Ireland's tidiest large town and the tidiest large urban centre title went to Kilkenny city.

Great for them and to see a positive news story about the county!

Congratulations Tallanstown but lets call a spade a spade here. The only reason Tallanstown is so tidy is because their young have been trained to dump all their litter in the nearby villages of Mullacrew and Louth Village. Pighead has often woken up in the dead of night to find a four and a half foot Tallanstownian crack commando dumping a bag of rubbish outside his door. This has to stop. But once again, congratulations.

And the evidence to prove that they are indeed from tallanstown is where? unless you can provide us that your assumptions are proven to be fact...they remain ( how should I say ) a load of doggie poo poo.:confused::D

Pighead knew they were from Tallanstown from the smell of the wee fcukers. Also, they didn't run away from the scene of the crime. They Glyded.
