This show was compulsory viewing for us kids in the early 80's. However If anyone can help me find out the name of a show that was shown as part of "anything goes" i would be grateful!

Ok we had the obvious shows such as batman, and whatever cartoons etc...but later on the saturday mornings "anything goes" was geared more towards teens.

There was a show on at this time every saturday about a gang of kids in some strange place possibly an island, on which there was mystery adventure and danger, all i can recall is there was some kind of swam creatures.

my final memory of this was Aongus McNally burning the tapes of this show on air, stating that it will never be shown again!

If I had more info to go on, i wouldn't need to post this, so can anyone remember????

I am pretty sure it was american, at least one of the character was a high school jock type ie wore a school football jacket..

Gilliagans island? I don't think so after youtubing it, but being stranded on an island with these ladies would be ok i guess!!

Hi ya! I knew that answer about Danger Island, remember the catch phrase when they were looking for help was "OH OH Chongo!, It's Danger Island"...
I was a keen AG fan ha ha... I've a question!

Does anyone remember on the same show 'Anything Goes' each Saturday morning, a mini series set in ww2 Britain, about a girl or boy who went to live with her/his aunt in the country side to get out of war torn London. They had accents and adventures just like the Famous Five etc.

If anyone could help I'd be delighted. Many Thanks

The jock went on to pilot air wolf, and the show was directed by Richard Donner.

Bite your tongue! Airwolf was classic. I bet you picked blue thunder in the playground fights. Yeah sure Airwolf was a converted civilian chopper to blue thunders military, but the wolf was sleek.

Airwolf was a legend. Did you know it was sold to a German ambulance service after it was no longer required for wolfing around. They went and crashed it into a mountain, now it's gone:(

That would be 'Street Hawk' you're thinking of.

You've just got to love the Tangerine Dream synth theme music, that deep-voiceover cheesy backstory ("The man.... the machine... Street Hawk!") and the wireframe computer graphics. It's all just so totally and utterly 1980s! :D

    "Hyperthrust, cleared and counting..... in 5.... 4.... 3.... 2.... 1.... let's boogie!" :D

You forgot the mountains of dry ice and blue backlighting ;)

    It was like the b
d child of Airwolf and Knight Rider. Its just a pity the scripts were worse than Manimal's or Automan's.
