Got a note home this evening from the school to say there is a child in the junior classes with chicken pox in the school.
My daughter is due to fly to the states next month for surgery and she has never had chicken pox. She also says it is her best friend that has them.
I am totally freaking out because if she gets chicken pox it takes 10-20 days to incubate and by the time it shows up we will be due to fly to America and obviously if she has chicken pox she cant fly, and she cant have her surgery.
What the heck do I do?

Talk to you dr, there are vaccines for chicken pox and given the circumstances it's a option.
