    Blame Gmail.

I've seen someone else get that (a kernel panic) every time they too visit Gmail - this is under Safari and Firefox. Repairing permissions didn't seem to fix it. No add-ons in use.

Using Gmail in its basic mode (just HTML) works fine though. Strangeness.

Kernel panics usually indicate a hardware problem or a serious system software problem. It's very unusual for something minor to cause one. If it's only happening on Gmail, and in all browsers, then it might be down to a bad plugin. Have you installed anything recently?

i added the vodafone dongle software, two ide's (eclipse and twin rocket) and the latest version of xcode. It's happened to me on opera, safari and firefox today.

it does seem to be gmail for some reason :S

Rather than speculating, you should check out your console logs. I have enclosed a screenshot of my 10.6 version. I have had no kernel panics yet but you will have lots of entries! This should indicate what is causing your problem.

it's definitely the standard gmail interface that causes them but only on the mobile broadband :S

So what did your CrashReporter or Panic log report?

Did you install software with the mobile broadband card? Perhaps look for a newer version?

This happens to me when I use gmail, but ONLY when I use gmail with my sister's wireless O2 dongle. Any other time connected to any other internet source it works perfectly.

I forgot that I found a solution to this problem months ago, the problem for me is the google talk plugins.

So open Macintosh HD ▸ Library ▸ Application Support ▸ Google and delete the googletalkplugin and googlevoiceandvideouninstaller and it should work.

Was having this problem also but only when the VF dongle was plugged directly into MAC

When I have the dongle in my dovado Router add connected wireless,,never occured.
