Hi, I just downloaded this app today,
I'm not too familiar of it, One user on here recommended it in order to locate stolen iPhone etc etc...

It says on the website that I can locate my iPhone through a web browser but I can't see any option on the website to let me to this?

I've been doing some searching online and nothing really helps with this info.

    Thanks guys.

Im nearly sure this app would have had to been installed before it was stolen , also I am not sure it would have been any good , it sends a request (which needs to be acknowledged ) that somebody wants to find your location .
Surely if the person that has your phone doesn't want to give it back then they just deny this request .
I have asked for further clarification on your original post .

I didn't have this App on the stolen iPhone,
I bought a new 3GS the next day (was like missing an arm) and have installed it today,
I'm just wondering how it works, Cheers mate.

I use FoneHome (1.79) and GPS tracker (free), (I have GPS tracker on my son's phone as he's just started to cycle to school and I can keep an eye on his route) When you set up your device on the respective websites a Google map comes up and shows you the live location of the device, FoneHome even works when the phone is reset or turned back on. I presume Family Tracker works similar but their website doesn't appear to have that option even though they said it does in the app store. Try out GPS tracker as it's free.

Wow I just downloaded FoneHome and it works great!
Does it work through 3G or Gps on the road and could I use this in order to track other Phones like my sisters for example?

Also does it work when the phone is off?

It works off both, and i think you can track other phones once they give you permission. Certianly you can do it with GPS tracker. Ideal for meeting up in town or wherever if you don't know the way. Not sure about when it's off, turn it off and have someone walk down the street while you monitor it.

Is there a way of viewing a map with GPS tracker?
As all I am receiving is coordinates.

    Thanks.

Okay so I have tried both GPS tracker and Fonehome (whether they work when powered off) and they do not.

My girlfriend has just gone to the shop and I left my iphone powered off in the glovebox.

I got this app so I could track my phone if stolen. has anybody else found that it reduces battery life significantly. in my case nearly by 50% and that 's even with the settings changed to the longest report intervals.

    anybody else find same thing?
