My question is not about this satirical clip from the Simpsons

... but it did get me thinking.

Does anyone remember a cartoon that RTE used to show in the 80's which had a very crappy jerky animated style like this? I had a feeling it was also eastern european - but could have been probably anywhere come to think of it as there was no dialogue. The overriding look of the show was black linedrawn with very strong monotone backgrounds (usually purples/pinks iirc) and for some reason I seem to remember looks of italic writing for the credits.

Anyway does anyone know what I'm talking about here?

I do! It was an awful cartoon thing that they used to put on in the five mins before the Angelus, or when the programme they were trying to show broke down. It scared me!
