I work for a blind company. We don't clean them and I'm not sure if anyone else in Limerick does. Reason is that it's hard to tell what way the materials will react to even just water. Some will shrink, some will get creased, some ok, etc. Some people have told us that they washed them in a bath but I wouldn't recommend it unless you have a small one you can test, and do without if it doesn't work out.

If the blind pulls down a good bit longer than the window it might be possible to turn them so that the bit thats never used and normally pretty clean would be at the bottom. We do this fairly often.

Maybe try one from the utility or bathroom, that u can afford to experiment on.... the bath and some hot water with washing up liquid might be worth a try as a last resort.....

    Hope you get them sorted.
