    Hi everyone,
College student looking for mobile broadband, just wondering what everyone thinks is the best in terms of speed? With the student card it'll be €10/month with both Meteor and O2, but not sure about the rest.
    Any replies appreciated, cheers

If at all possible stay completly clear of Mobile broadband, It will cost you a lot more in the long run compared to ADSL/Fiber Power.

Its grand for what it is or if you need it in college, which should have wi-fi anyway so its not really essential. But the charges if you go over the 10gb allowance are ludicrous, 20 euro per gb. so if you're just using it for basic browsing its grand but if you plan on downloading a lot then steer clear.

ya, and it'll only get worse as more Iphones and Android phones come online. Suppose it's ok if you only surf on perfectly dry nights at about 4am. I had it in Dooradoyle and it was like being back on dial up (the times it would connect)

TBH, no-one is gonna tell you which (if any) network is good - because if theres more than 10 people on the the same cell then it's dire.

I think I'm probably the only person in Ireland with a perfect mobile broadband connection its like turning pages in a book. I get 30gb for 26 euro off 3 and have to say its top notch, when I use my sisters UPC connection I have to wait a few seconds for the page to load and it annoys me. Saying that a friend of mine is out in Castletroy and his mobile broadband is diabolical, I dont know how he can stand it. It's down to the area I suppose.
