I'm finding it hard to get good tights - the Dunnes ones usually go at the toe within the first wear or two and snag like mad - I used to be able to fab ones before but can't remember where I got them............would welcome thoughts (if you're recommending tights, please can you put in prices also)!? Thanks

M&S make the best ones, in my opinion. Especially if you spend more and buy the better quality ones.

If you buy a 4 pack from Penney's or Dunnes, you'll go through a pair a day.

the ones i got weren't, but they may have changed the packaging - and there is a large selection so you might be in luck with the other ones

Pennys do great black tights, they usually last a while with me as they are quite thick, but I usually find a little hole after a night out in a beer garden!!

The pennys tights like 5 pairs for 2/3euro are useless, (although I go back and buy them time after time  ) they ladder pretty easily and one day I was pulling them up and my fingers destroyed them! I looked like Taylor Momsen on a good day! I had to take them off!

I must try some M&S tights from the opinions expressed in this thread. Do they come in a good array of colours. I'm one for grabbing the nearest box and coming home with orange tights and stuff!! :o

Both Accessorize and Next do great tights. I have grey tights that I bought in Next that have lasted me for 2 years and are still going strong.

There's about 4 colours, the lightest one is really too light even on me and I'm super pale. Natural tan is the colour I get, it's not too obvious and looks a lot less like I'm wearing tights than the the other (illusion?) which should be my shade.

I find TK Max usually have a great selection of tights. Though Id usually be going for black or coloured/patterned tights so I wouldnt need to colour match as much as with skin coloued ones. They are usually quite good quality though and aout 3/4 euros compared to original prices of about 7/8.

Penneys tighs are sh1te! They rip the second you put them on.
I got tights in topshop once. They were pretty epic and pretty bleedin expensive! Still, they were very good quality.

OP - Are you looking for Black Opaque or Sheer Natural types?

+1 on topshop for opaques - although they can be a bit dull (IMHO!)

M&S are great for natural sheers, really like the 7 denier ones in single packs, they are less than a fiver and believe it or not last! haven't got the multi boxes.

M&S used to do brilliant silky opaques, but I haven't seen them in a while and am hoping they haven't stopped making them. They were about 7 euro but would last years.

Obviously Wolford or Falke are really good especially in opaques, but cost a bit. Will last forever so worth it I think for high denier like above 30.

I got some natural ones in H&M, they are OK and very cheap - sold in 2 packs.

Really like PP and Aristoc, but are a bit steep price wise over 7 for the natural shine or Matt ones. Arnotts have these in Dublin, not sure where else.
