    Hi all,

I have my timetable but i'm confused where I should be on the 20th.

The letter I have says my programme is DT544 and i'm in year 2

When I look at the timetable

It has DT544/2 and DT544/2A are to be in Portland row 9.30am

and DT544/2 and DT544/2B are to be in mountjoy Sq 10.00am

Am I right these are groups A and B but when do I find out what group i'm in??

Do DIT have a web page that fully explains the timetable??

    Thanks

Best thing to do is either ring or email your course chair or the lecturer for that class.

it's very likely your are looking at the timetable of different weeks.
    let's say week number 4-16 and 17-...
just look for the proper weeks

If you were in A last year then you should be in A this year. Otherwise usually A and B classes have to do with streams or more usually with alphabetical order. Classes are split in two due to class size. Not much help I know if your name is in the middle of the alphabet but maybe useful otherwise!

last name begins with F, will i be in the A group ? (theres A and B)

just read the timetables online, we were told not to come to the tutorials for the first week or two.. does that include labs?

it says i have 5 hours of IT per week? seems like alot.

also is there somewhere we can get a print out of the timetable for these weeks (4-16) only in the campus?

    thanks

Your timetable will change in the first few weeks, it's just the way it goes. As for labs, it depends on the subject, granted i'm second year now, my first morning back tomorrow is straight into a lab, but it wouldn't be unusual to not have labs for the first few weeks. You'll just have to see.

Very true, but you wouldn't be the only one in your class hanging around. It sucks i know, but you only have 2 options; go, or don't go.

    What lab is it exactly?

If i was a gambling man; which i'm not! I'd say its not on. But then again...
