Not too fussed on location as I reckon most resorts will be relatively quiet now so will take whatever I'm offered. Does it work out much cheaper…

looking to book a sun holiday next week about two days before I'm available to travel and am considering taking a cancellation as have heard they're considerably cheaper. Not too fussed on location as I reckon most resorts will be relatively quiet now so will take whatever I'm offered. Does it work out much cheaper than normal and how close to departure can you book?
