    H im doing an piece on the bank troubles in ireland and i was wondering if anyone could give me a little help on what exactly happened with
    anglo irish bank..,i dont know where to start, a few pointers about its major problems would be really helpful, dont want to seem rude or anything..i jus havent followed this on the news and am kind of stuck with what exactly to say, thanks :)

    They gave lots of loans to people who can't afford to pay them back, but the bank still has to pay back the people who they borrowed the money from before lending it on. That is it on the basest level but there's so much more involved.

    If you haven't been following it, why are you writing a piece on it out of interest?
