Hey there, I've just started Arts as a mature student but i'm only 25. I'm feelin really out on my own - all the other people are straight outta school!! The few mature students I notice about are prob round the 40 mark or so! Anyone around mid / late 20s in first year or even 2nd/3rd or 4th year!! I'd like to meet people around my own age so i don't feel so alone and old! hopefully there'll be a few joinin clubs and societies!!

Yeah, Id imagine afew years back a 25 year old mature student would have been fairly rare, but there must be lots nowadays. Good luck OP.

Thanks for that guys, it's reassuring i'm not the only one feeling like this!!!

Caroiline, are you here stuying at the moment??

Did anybody manage to attend the mature students coffee morning? Think it was 10.30 on Tuesday 12th and same time on WEdnesday on Cork road??

Both clashed with my timetables so couldn't make it :(

Hey Purplefighter. I'm 24, in 4th year of a course. Had taken over 3 years out since I was last in college, so also finding it difficult to adjust to things - how are you getting on now?
