So I'm here waiting on the results of my repeat exams and I was wondering what are my options if I fail a repeat ? Can I make an appeal ? Can I continue on in my course ?

Yes, you can make an appeal, if that's successful you will be allowed to continue on to your next year in your course.
However if you are unsuccessful, you must repeat the module you failed. To do this you must fill out a form in the registry to retake the module in question. You can choose to repeat the whole module or just the exam section, depending on the weighting of your exam and continual assessment. If you did quite well in continual assessment but failed the exam section, some lecturers will allow you to take your continual assessment score from the first year through to the repeat year.
If you don't get the result you are looking for, you should contact your lecturer immediately to discuss your options
