Mmm. The only problem about this is that it's all most speculative. Nobody knows what truly happened on that day and we're likely never to. That being said, it does make for a very interesting and moving story. Have to admit to feeling somewhat moved during United 93.

This must be the third film so

    I've watched United 93 and Flight 93
United had a larger budget and well known director Paul Greengrass.

Flight 93 was made for TV, less publicity and smaller budget and was far superior imo

On 11\9\01 itself, I was convinced that Flight 93 was shot down. None of these productions ever totally convinced me otherwise.

    Maybe I'm just cynical.

See this is the most likely outcome - that the US Airforce were forced to shoot down this plane and, if it were the truth, could you really blame them? This just makes for a better, more heartwarming story and more likely to gain patriotism

Exactly. If it was shot down, it was Bush's call and there's no way they'd let that out.

Plus it's always bothered me that we were never given a proper look at the crash site - must be the first plane crash in history where there was no ariel shots and pictures of the wreckage.

Hold on, if a plane was confirmed as hijacked, out of control and not responding to instructions then I would have no issue if my President ordered it shot down, especially if heading for population center

If Bush ordered it shot down I'd respect the tough decision that was made

Why wouldn't the Air Force come out and admit it if that happened?

I would agree with you; if it did happen and it was admitted.

However there are far too many questions about what happened on 11/9.....including reports that a passport of one of the "terrorists" was found on the street below the collapsed towers, and the fact that no coverage shows a plane actually hitting the Pentagon.

I'm no conspiracy theorist, btw.....the above are just unanswered questions, based on the fact that we have to take the word of the same people who manufactured stories about WMDs.

well i would consider myself more of a conspiracy hypothesist than a conspiracy theorist.. The 9/11 commission "hypothesis" is pretty much unbelievable. The only three steel buildings (including Building 7) in history to collapse from fire, and they all happen on the same day? Pilot (who never before flew a jumbo jet before) carries out a 270 degree turn and brings the plane to 50 feet and hits the Pentagon?? Like Liam said, why not release the footage of the plane hitting the Pentagon, then I might believe it.. just too many unanswered questions.

But specifically for the flight 93 plane, I dont know what they dont just release the FDR and CVR. They let the relatives listen to them (with restrictions), but will not release them. The phone calls, scientists say, could not have taken place as the plane was too high for the calls to have been made.. And the whole Flight 93 story, seems like one of those hollywood movies with the slow handclap at the end.. I dont know what happened, but this story seems too fabricated..

Plenty of people would have a problem with it though. Especially when the moarning relatives appear regularly on the news with their ideas of how it all should have been handled. And when you're a president who less than a year earlier only won a presidential election by about 150 odd votes in Florida, and you plan to stand for election again 3 years later, then this swing matters greatly.

I'm not a conspiracy theorist either by the way. Each theory has to be judged on it's own merits. And while I wouldn't go so far as others do and say that 9\11 was the work of Bush himself, there are a number of things about that day that make me think. And flight 93 is one of them.
