Hi. In the beginning of 2009 I was signing on for a couple of months but have since gone back self employed. Do I include the monies received from Welfare along with my earnings from year ending 09 or is it just monies from my business.
    Thanks.

Some social welfare payments are taxable so you should ring your local social welfare & ask for statement of taxable payment & include in your 2009 return

Dole money is taxable. There is a section on the form 11 tax return to include unemployment payments.

    Hi

It depends on the type of assistance which you are getting whether it is taxable. For instance Jobseekers benefit is taxable other then the first €13 whereas jobseakers allowance is not taxable. Also in certain circumstances Jobsekers benefit is also not taxable.

    Check out http://www.citizensinformation.ie/categories/social-welfare/irish-social-welfare-system/claiming-a-social-welfare-payment/taxation_of_social_welfare_payments

    Kind Regards
