Whats the point of this site?
Surely they realise that people are going to post pointless and untrue reviews just to get a free voucher.
Kind of exposes the whole online review culture out there, just like the recent TripAdvisor scandal, where people were paid to post bad reviews

Would anyone know how strict they are on 'more than 4 lines' bit in the reviews? I'd say most of my reviews are just 4 lines... :D

I've done the same and posted reviews about 4 lines. Sent an email. Just got a reply and mentions that as long as majority of reviews are at least 4 lines, voucher will be honored.

    Hi Sgt Pepper

Michael here from WhoseView. The point of the website is to allow people rant or rave on local services and to share these experiences with friends. For the majority, the site serves as a medium to help find the top reviewed services in a locality.

To answer your second point, we don't believe people post pointless or untrue reviews simply for vouchers. On reading the vast majority of reviews it's obvious that members have put alot of thought into writing them. Every review (our 17,000th review was posted today) is read carefully within 24 hours of being posted live and sense checked against a set criteria we have. I will be honest, you do get the odd chancer but these can be quickly indentified. Unlike other review sites, every member on www.whoseview.ie has a trust baramoter where members can vote on your trustworthiness. Thankfully we have some very active, protective members who are very often the first to indentify a untrustworthy member. Thankfully these are few and far between.

All vouchers also http://www.whoseview.ie/offers.html have clear T&c's, which requires reviews to be of minimum length along with other basic rules (similar to other review sites). The special offers we have on the site all carry points. The more active you are on the site in terms of posting reviews, engaging with other members, inviting friends etc the more points you earn. This is an incentive program offered by many other social sites. It can be policed and we do so very carefully.
