Laptop to tv audio problem

    Hi im having a problem with audio! i have connected my laptop to a lg tv through a vga cable and have my audio connected from the headphone jack.. so my display is coming up on rgb but my sound is coming up on another av mode! is there a way of having both on one??

    Can you plug the audiobjack into a set of speakers that are set up already? that should work.

    Make sure it's the correct audio jack into the tv. I had the same problem when i first hooked mine up to my tv. There's 2 audio jacks, one for the DVI and another for something else i haven't figured out...
