Seriously... has anyone ever been ported into Three from Meteor without any issues ?

Ive been trying to port in from Meteor since Sunday last, and my number has been taken off the Meteor network at least twice. i have no service on my work number right now (which i need since im working all weekend !)
Another guy in here said that he ported in from vodafone-->three over night, and his missus is still waiting to be ported in from Meteor since tuesday.

Did it no problem (and went back after a week). I found three an absolute joke network.

Why are Three "an absolute joke"? The reason I ask is that I'm planning on leaving Meteor soon to get an iPhone on Three.

I have an iphone. Following problems:

No 2G data services - no 3g no data.
Phone would't switch back to 3g even when it was available.
When 3g was available the newtwork can be unbelievably slow - as recently as yesterday I was in the 3 shop on Patrick street in cork and it took about 2 minutes to load google over 3g. That was on a display iphone 4 in their own shop.

I have read the thread and apparently they are trying to address the issues but they seem unable to. Their answer to the phone not going back to 3g was to turn on and off airplane mode. Even if they sort 2g data they have no edge network like meteor and O2 and gprs is very slow.

I just really found them a very poor network and I find meteor way better.

People will no doubt disagree and stick up for 3 but I find it's mostly the people stuck on 18 month contracts that do this. It's just my opinion but that's what I found.

Have a look at the thread called iPhone on 3 or something like that. Total joke of a network from their ****e coverage to ****e customer care to a censored network. The list goes on. I did however manage to port in from meteor payg without incident. Left after 3 weeks to move to o2. I have yet to ring o2 customer care after 3 weeks. In the 3 weeks I spent on 3 I spent a total of 21 hours on to customer care / tech support. O and the phone was being used constantly between cork city centre and a suburb. Enough said. Was just relieved to get away as I had well past my 14 day cooling off period
